Diary of a Deauxp Black Artist #1

Being an artist comes with a lot of pressure--perceived or real. It feels like people expect you to produce the best work 100% of the time. It feels like you have to create and post daily or people will forget about you. 

That all weighs on me and end up just not creating at all, but eventually I break through and get on a sketch or maybe even a full painting. 

I had fun sketching this last night. Thinking about a new digital series now =). Stay tuned.
